Bluetooth Speaker With Remote Volume Control

Using The Fire Stick Remote To Control Volume On Your Bluetooth Headset/speakers

Control Your Bluetooth Soundbar, Headphone, or Speaker Volume With Your Amazon Fire TV Remote

Now that everything is installed and the app PreciseVolume has been sideloaded onto your Fire Stick, youll need to activate it each time you turn on your TV, Fire Stick, and Bluetooth headphones.

Go ahead and put on your headphonesif you paired them earlier, they are a remembered device and should instantly connect to your Fire Stickand grab the Fire Stick remote

When you turn on the Fire Stick and youre on the home screen, press and hold the Home button on the remote to bring up the downloaded apps. Select the PreciseVolume app to launch it.

Now you can control the volume that youre hearing in your headphones with your Fire Stick remote.

If youre done using your headphones with the Fire Stick and you want the volume to return to the speakers on your TV, simply put the headphones back into their charging case, which will effectively turn them off.

It sounds like a lot and it kind of is. Unfortunately, though Amazon uses a modified version of the Android operating system, Amazonfor some strange reasondoesnt allow you to access the full gamut of Android apps on Amazon devices.

Unfortunately, sideloading is one of the many responses that was developed to counter Amazons decision to narrow Amazon device access to Android apps.

Bluetooth And Wifi Speaker

Several of the highly rated models in our testing have both WiFi and Bluetooth.

Pros: Having both technologies gives you greater flexibility. You can take advantage of your strong home network for most listening. But if, for example, a friend wants to stream songs from a phone or laptop, they can make a quick connection to your speaker using Bluetooth. In general, models that feature both WiFi and Bluetooth are fairly easy to use.

Cons: You might pay more for a speaker with both features.

Setup: If you want to take advantage of the flexibility of using both Bluetooth and WiFi, be prepared to go through the individual setup for each.

How To Connect A Remote Control To A Sonos Soundbar

If you are interested in using a universal remote to control your Sonos soundbar, there are options. First, you can use the setup process through the Sonos app. Second, you could rely on your HDMI CEC to provide the volume control. Either way you choose, you should be able to use a single remote to control your Sonos soundbar and other devices. If you choose to go with the first option, keep in mind that not all remotes will work with the Sonos.

For the most straightforward installation, make sure your device operates using IR . Also, some remotes will need extra setup for operation. If you know that your remote control uses IR, you can follow the setup process in the Sonos app reasonably easily. If your remote does not, there are still options, and we will explore them in a later section.
